Eyjafjallajökull Shawl

Mystic StarThe Eyjafjallajökull Shawl was inspired by the images of the erupting volcano, and the smouldering streams of lava flowing out from the centre of the volcano.
The shawl is knit from the centre out using the pi-construction, with a single crochet-chain edging. The pattern is charted, and the lace pattern is only on every other row.

Finished measurements: diameter 160 cm (63″)

Yarn: 1,120 yds/8 oz of Little Traveller from the Sanguine Gryphon (light fingering weight yarn – 100% merino) in Rojas or similar colour

Needles: 4.0 mm circular needles, 4.0 mm crochet hook for edging

It is available in downloadable pdf-format in English, French and German (you will receive 3 pdfs – 1 in each language).
